Shining at the VTV Cup 2025 in the U21 Vietnamese shirt, Dang Thi Hong is emerging as one of the most expected young talents of the country's female volleyball.
Not possessing an ideal height (1m70), but the girl born in 2006 from Bac Kan made a strong impression thanks to her ability to jump well, the spirit of brave competition and enthusiastic play style.
Coming from the Dao family in Pac Nam district – a locality that still has many difficulties, pink charm with volleyball very early. Despite being eliminated from the selection because of her modest body, perseverance and desire to pursue her passion helped her back and scored with the coaches at the Thai Nguyen Sports Center. Since then, she has gradually asserted herself in the Ath Division and was quickly noticed by the big teams.
In 2022, Hong Binh was borrowed from Ninh Binh LPBank to play in the league, where she became a effective support factor for seniors like Bich Tuyen. On the pitch, she not only attacked effectively but also had the ability to defend and block the ball flexibly – something rare in such a young athlete.
At VTV Cup 2025, Dang Thi Hong is the captain of U21 Vietnam and is showing the role of a brave leader. She is the most pointed hand to score points in the group stage with 53 points, and contributes significantly to the youth team to play fairly against strong opponents like the Korabelka Club (Russia). The spirit of rolling, not afraid of collision helped Hong score in the eyes of fans as well as international experts.
It is worth mentioning, Dang Thi Hong not only has professional competence but also shows a friendly, progressive and humble personality. She is a representative of the generation of young Vietnamese athletes – ready to learn and rise from adversity to conquer the peak of sports.
With the current form, Hong is expected to be the key factor of Vietnamese volleyball in the near future. If the momentum is developed as at the moment, Dang Thi Hong can completely become the pillar of the national team in the coming years.
