Tottenham successfully recruited Japanese defender

Tottenham has confirmed their latest summer contract, Japanese star Kota Takai has completed moving to North London.

Kota Takai played very well in the Kawasaki Frontale shirt at the J-League tournament of Japan, he received much attention from teams in Europe, but finally agreed to sign a 5-year contract with Thomas Frank's team. Spurs accept spending 5 million pounds for this deal.

Takai is 20 years old, considered a great potential player. Now he will focus with Tottenham to prepare for the new season, if impressing Frank coach Frank in the pre -season, he can be kicked regularly next season.

Tottenham successfully recruited Kota Takai from Kawasaki Frontale.

Takai had 4 caps on the Japanese national team, launched in the World Cup qualifier against China last September. He played an important role to help Kawasaki Frontale win the Japanese Super Cup in 2024, and was honored as the best young player in the country of the rising sun of the same year.

Kota Takai is the third contract of Tottenham this summer, after the team bought Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel. The next goal of Spurs is to upgrade the attack, they are targeting Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, Crystal Palace and West Ham's Kudus.

Tottenham will play in the Champions League next season, they will need more new contracts to enhance the depth of the squad.
