The Daily Mail has just updated the latest information about the future of striker Alexander Isak, and certainly Liverpool fans will not be happy at all.
The 25 -year -old Swedish striker has been rumored to leave Newcastle in recent weeks, with the attention of teams like Al Hilal and Liverpool.
On July 19, Isak was unexpectedly not on the list of coach Eddie Howe's competition in the 0-4 defeat against Celtic. The initial reason was given was that he was injured in the thigh muscle injury. However, it was later reported that Isak was considering the future and actively withdraws from Newcastle's Asian tour.
Although Liverpool showed strong interest, Newcastle still resolutely kept people and affirmed Isak – who had a contract until June 2028 – not for sale. Sky Sports revealed that Newcastle valued Isak about 150 million pounds, although many sources had previously said that the price of “injection” required only £ 120 million.
However, in the latest developments, the Daily Mail said the hope of Isak in “rebellious” to switch to Liverpool has been blowing a strong blow. The reason is that Newcastle is concerned that they will miss the top goal, that striker Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.
Currently, MU is given the power to recruit Sesko, and if the Red Devils succeed, Newcastle will no longer have a replacement, so they definitely refuse to sell Isak to Liverpool.
According to sources, RB Leipzig has a “honor agreement” that allows Sesko to leave for about 70 to 80 million euros. If Newcastle did not win Sesko's signature, they only considered selling Isak in case of finding a replacement before the transfer closed on September 1.
