In the final of the first stage of Sea V.League 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played resilience and courage. In the first set, our girls won with a cement score 25-23.
Entering Set 2, Vietnamese women's volleyball team lost with a score of 19-25. Set 3, we won with a score of 25-21 but lost to 17-25 in the 4th set. In the last set, Thailand won 15-11 and won the final with a score of 3-2.
The most controversial situation took place in the second set, when the score was 21-19 in favor of the Thai host. Although the Challenge video technology has twice brought the results, the image that the ball has touched the floor, the referee finally decided to break the whistle and calculate the score for Thailand.
This is the turning point of the set and the match. Thailand overcame set 2 and equalized 1-1 and then took place a struggle and had a final victory.
Despite their efforts, the girls of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team were unable to defeat the Thai women's volleyball team. However, if there is no controversial situation, the results may be different.
After the match, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet declared to the students: “5 days we will take revenge”. This is a more motivated statement as well as determination for Vietnamese girls to be ready to pay debt to Thailand at the second stage of Sea Vleague 2025 at home in Vietnam.
