The Vietnam Volleyball Federation acts drastic, determined not to disadvantage recurrence


The Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) has recently affirmed that it will act fiercely, not to disadvantages as with the U21 Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team at the 2025 World Championship.

The event of the U21 Vietnam Women's Volleyball team had to pay a high price at the 2025 World Championship that happened not long ago still shocked public opinion.

Accordingly, a athlete was determined to “not qualified” according to the regulations of the World Volleyball Federation (FIVB), causing the entire victory results of the team – including 4 groups in the group stage – canceled, and fined and caused the delegation to fall to the 19th rank.

Next, VFV confirmed that they had completed the registration procedures, provided the athletes' records before the tournament, and accused the inspection process from the “sudden” and unfair FIVB.

General Secretary VFV, Mr. Le Tri Truong, said that he sent two official complaints to FIVB, requesting clarification of reasons and transparency of the process, especially when the Federation was not informed of the additional laws.

Not stopping there, VFV also organized reviews, working carefully with the coaching staff and the national women's team athletes, in order to draw experience from the U21 incident, while improving the compliance with papers, doping, and other requirements from FIVB to avoid similar incidents in the upcoming tournaments.

Currently, despite not receiving any official response from FIVB, the VFV still confirms that it will persevere in pursuing the rights of the team, and continuing to complete the process of personal records and athletes to protect the reputation and future of Vietnamese volleyball.
