Alexander Isak can join Liverpool thanks to the little known provision in the transfer law

Striker Alexander Isak can leave Newcastle United without the club's permission in the context of the increasingly stressful Liverpool to Liverpool.

Isak is the focus of controversy between Newcastle and Liverpool

The 25 -year -old Swedish striker was strongly contacted with the Merseyside team this summer. And the transfer story has just had a new turning point on Tuesday night when Isak suddenly posted a shocking notice on social networks. He affirmed the promises “broken and lost beliefs”.

Newcastle immediately countered, rejected the statement and emphasized that they would not allow Isak to leave this summer. However, a “gap” in FIFA's law can help Isak freely leave.

Specifically, Article 17 of the FIFA regulation, which was revised by the case of a former Premier League League Lassana Diarra, created easier conditions for the player to force the club to accept the transfer.

According to the old law, a player arbitrarily terminates the contract without a “good reason” that will be responsible for compensation for violations of the contract, and their new club must be jointly. In many cases, players may even be banned from competition or refused to issue international transfer certificates (ITC).

Diarra is still struggling to claim benefits for players who want to leave the host club

The famous case in 2014, Diarra was rejected ITC when he wanted to leave Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia). He said that it ruined his career and accused FIFA to impose “illegal” rules.

Diarra argued that players should have the right to change their work like normal workers. After that, he took FIFA to court and forced the organization to adjust the law. Currently, Diarra is still following the lawsuit and claims £ 56 million.

Under the new rule of amendment, a player can activate Article 17 within 15 days after the final match of the season, provided that at least 3 years in the current contract. If responded, that player will be free to join another club.

In the case of Isak, this means he can only take advantage of this term next summer. At that time, Liverpool will not have to pay the transfer fee to Newcastle, instead FIFA will pay compensation to the Northeastern British Club.
