On the morning of August 24, the 80 -year journey – for national security 'officially started with the participation of nearly 5,000 athletes in Phan Thiet.
The “80 -year journey – for national security” is an activity in the series of Sport Festival events organized by the Vietnam People's Public Security Association in collaboration with NovaGroup. The tournament was attended by nearly 5,000 athletes including officials and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces and the Youth Union, Youth and athletes from many localities across the country. This is a big festival, welcoming 80 years of the traditional day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of September 2. The event organizers said that next to it is a healthy sports playground. This is also a meaningful activity of gratitude to the generations of people's police sacrificed and devoted to the cause of national security protection. At the same time, the run is also an opportunity to spread the strong lifestyle, the spirit of physical training in the entire People's Police force and the community.
The distance of 5km, 10km and 21km all recorded a lot of participation with impressive breakthroughs. With serious preparation and determination to conquer, many athletes not only complete the run in excellent time but also break personal records. “The golden face in the village of Runners” Hoang Nguyen Thanh (Dong Nai) the first prize in the 21km distance.
Right before that, on the evening of August 23, the opening ceremony of Sports Festival 2025 officially took place, opening for a series of large -scale sports and cultural activities. The opening night became booming with unique music performances. Emotional repertoire shown by young and enthusiastic artists: Dong Hung, Vo Ha Tram, Dong Nhi and Duc Phuc, Phan Hien, Thu Huong, … bringing the intersection between generations of artists, connecting contemporary music and traditional spirit.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of Sports Festival 2025 on the evening of August 23, the Chairman of the Provincial Watch Van Muoi shared: “Lam Dong province wishes to continue coordinating with the Vietnam People's Police Association, as well as investors and economic groups to Lam Dong in sports, culture, investment and construction activities. The event took place safely, successfully and left a good impression in the hearts of the people, tourists and international friends. ”
The representative of the CAND Sports Association also said, “Sports Festival 2025 takes place with many rich content … These are not only exciting sports competitions but also a environmental training environment, health, durability for officials and soldiers; also a bridge to link the CAND force with the people, create combined strength in protecting security, order and social development.”
