The British media reported that MU's Rasmus Hojlund reached an agreement to join Napoli in the summer of 2025.
Rasmus Hojlund only scored 10 goals in the 2024/25 season. Disappointed with his performance, coach Amorim eliminated Danish players from his plan.
Despite being announced to be gone during the summer transfer window, Hojlund still decided to stay at Old Trafford. However, the 22 -year -old striker was forced to change the decision after Amorim coach successfully recruited Benjamin Sesko and broke his name from the list of plays in the defeat of Arsenal in the first round of the Premier League. Similarly, he was eliminated in the Fulham draw in the second round.
In this transfer window, Hojlund received attention from 3 clubs, including AC Milan, Leipzig and Napoli. For his part, Hojlund prioritized joining the Serie A 202425 champion.
According to Sky Sport (Italy), Napoli has reached a personal agreement with Hojlund. Specifically, the Danish player will sign a 1 -year loan contract with Napoli, with a mandatory clause of the Italian team to buy.
Also according to the above source, the borrowing fee of Hojlund is 5 million euros, while the mandatory buying term is worth 40 million euros. Thus, MU will earn a total of 45 million euros from this deal.
2 years ago, MU spent 77.8 million euros to recruit Hojlund from Atalanta. This means that the Reds accepted a loss of nearly 33 million euros in the Hojlund deal.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano added: “The transfer fee is about 45 million euros. If all the procedures go smoothly, Hojlund will sign a long -term contract until June 2030 with Napoli. The deal is only waiting for the final detail to be approved.”
It is expected that tomorrow (August 27), Hojlund will come to Italy for medical examination and officially sign the contract. Hojlund was taken by coach Antonio Conte to replace Lukaku, who would have to take a break at least 3 months due to muscle injury.
