Nguyen Thuy Linh, who was called by many people with the nickname “hotgirl badminton”, has just made Vietnamese fans admire when reaching the 18th world position on the women's single rankings (BWF), the highest ranking in her career so far.
This leap comes from the impressive performance at the 2025 World Championship in Paris. There, Thuy Linh excelled in the 1/8 round (Top 16), thereby accumulating an additional 6,000 points. This is also the highest score she has in a tournament in the past year.
Her current total score reached 49,450, helping her “jump” from the 22nd to 18th rank this week. This is the second time Thuy Linh has touched the top 20 of the world, first on July 22, 2025, and this time she re -established that achievement, confirming stability and significant progress.
Not only is personal pride, Thuy Linh is also the only female player in Vietnam in the top 100 world today; The next Vietnamese female player, Vu Thi Trang, is standing at 127 with 13,250 points.
In addition to the achievement in the world tournament, in the past year Thuy Linh also left a mark with many outstanding results: Vietnam Open championship, Canadian runner -up Open and German Open, reaching the quarter -finals of Malaysia Masters, Indonesia Masters, Hylo Open, and deep rounds in Malaysia Open, Denmark Open and Asian Championships.
