After having difficulty recruiting Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, Arsenal has enhanced the interest in striker Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Gunners want to bring back a new number 9 in the summer of 2025. Losing both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus because of injury last season made Mikel Arteta's team short of breath in the Premier League championship race with Liverpool, and buying a new striker is essential.
Viktor Gyokeres is Arsenal's No. 1 target after an impressive season with Sporting Lisbon, where he scored 54 goals after 52 matches to help his team win a double title in the domestic tournament. Although the Swedish player wants to come to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal has not reached the transfer price agreement with the Portugal's team.

RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko is also the goal of Arsenal, but the German team shouts 100 million euros for his star. Leipzig rejected the offer of the North London team worth about (46.8 million pounds) – plus £ 10 million (8.5 million pounds) to the Slovenian player.
The Bundesliga team is waiting for the proposal from 80 to 100 million euros (68 to 85 million pounds) for their star striker. According to the German Bild, Arsenal transferred the attention to Hugo Ekitike, who had an impressive season in the Eintracht Frankfurt shirt.
Ekitike is a serious choice if the Gunners abandon the recruitment of Gyokeres or Sesko. However, like the case of Gyokeres and Sesko, Eintracht Frankfurt is said to be demanding a huge transfer fee of 100 million euros (85 million pounds) for his star.
Ekitike, who also attracted attention from Liverpool and Chelsea in recent months, has contracted with Eintracht Frankfurt until June 2029.
