Bayer Leverkusen successfully recruited center -back Jarell Quanusah from Liverpool

Bayer Leverkusen Club officially completed the deal to recruit midfielder Jarell Quanusah from Liverpool with a 5 -year contract, lasting until the summer of 2030.

Quansah signed a 5 -year contract with Leverkusen

According to the notice from Liverpool, Jarell Quanusah's transfer fee is about £ 30 million, accompanied by £ 5 million. The Reds has a £ 50 million acquisition and will only be effective until 2027.

The 22 -year -old is an adult product from the Liverpool Academy. The 2023/24 season is a turning point to the British center -back when he started giving the opportunity in the first team.

However, after coach Arne Slot came to power, Quansah's role gradually narrowed. He only played 4 matches in the Premier League, mostly appearing from the bench, and was replaced in the first half of the opening match against Ipswich Town.

Up to the time of leaving Anfield, QuanSah had a total of 58 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring 3 goals. Although not really booming, this young center -back is still appreciated for its ability to play good foot, ideal bodybuilding and long -term development potential.

New coach Ten HAG has the quality addition to the defense

Bayer Leverkusen came to Quansah as an alternative to Jonathan Tah, who moved to Bayern Munich early summer. In addition, the German team is likely to break up with Odilon Kossounou, the center -back is being borrowed at Atalanta with the terms of purchase. The addition of Quandah is a necessary step to consolidate the defense for the 2025/26 season, when Leverkusen will return to the Champions League arena after the second Bundesliga last season.

Notably, this is not the first time Leverkusen and Liverpool “traded” this summer. Earlier, the British team successfully recruited Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen themselves. Regular contact between the two clubs is a key factor that helps QuanSah happen smoothly.

Under the new coach Erik Ten HAG – who had just succeeded Xabi Alonso after the Spanish strategist switched to leading Real Madrid – Leverkusen is starting to rebuild a strong force, and Quansah will be an important part of that plan.
