However, it is worth noting that if the Catalunya team decided not to activate this term, they would have to pay Man United a fine fee of up to 5 million euros, as revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano through Diario Sport.

This is not the first time Man United has applied this type of penalty. Last season, Jadon Sancho was lent by Chelsea and the London team had to spend 5 million pounds to finish the contract early when refusing to sign the long term.
