Viktor Gyokeres has officially joined Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon, coach Miklel Arteta and sports director Andrea Berta have shared about this deal.
No longer a rumor, Arsenal has successfully confirmed the recruiting striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon. The Gunners agreed to an agreement worth 63.5 million euros (54.8 million pounds) prepaid, plus 10 million euros (8.6 million pounds) surcharges with Portugal's team.
The 27 -year -old striker signed a 5 -year contract with the Gunners, he was expected to upgrade the Emirates Stadium's attacking team. Gyokeres was the top scorer of the Portuguese league in the last two seasons, he also scored 15 goals after 26 appearances in the Swedish shirt.
This is the return of Gyokeres with England. In the past, the star born in Stockholm joined Brighton in 2018 before being borrowed in Swansea and Coventry City. Gyokeres will wear 14 shirts at Arsenal, the number of shirts associated with the legendary Thierry Henry.
