According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez is ready to leave Liverpool to move to Napoli from the next season.
Specifically, Napoli hopes to complete this deal for about 50 million euros, maybe even lower depending on the negotiation with Liverpool. Nunez personally agreed with the provisions of the new Serie A champion.
Earlier, Guardian said Nunez accepted the fact that he no longer played an important role in Anfield. Liverpool also wants to liquidate Nunez because it is no longer suitable for the strategy of coach Arne Slot (and also because he often wasted opportunities), and cleaned up expensive rookie Florian Wirtz.
Since joining Anfield from Benfica in 2022 with a record fee of 85 million pounds, Nunez has not met the expectation. The 25 -year -old only scored 40 goals after 3 seasons in Liverpool.
Nunez is on the list of strikers Napoli considering recruiting at the request of coach Antonio Conte. Tan Vuong Serie A season 2024/25 is determined to strengthen forces to prepare for the upcoming Champions League season as well as successfully defend the title of Scudetto.
Before taking care of Nunez, Napoli welcomed two rookies, Kevin de Bruyne and Luca Mariancci. The Italian media said that Conte coach Conte was issued by the Board of Directors of 200 million euros to recruit rookies this summer.
In addition to Nunez, Napoli also expressed interest in MU's Jadon Sancho. However, the very high salary of this midfielder (£ 250,000/week) is a big barrier. Therefore, Napoli is negotiating with MU to settle this soon.
