Born and raised in Augsburg, Germany, Adriano Schmidt has a Vietnamese father and a German mother. He started his football career at the youth teams in Germany, who played for U19 Ingolstadt and some lower -class teams such as VFB Eichstätt, FC Gerolfing. However, his career path is not really smooth in his homeland.

In 2017, Adriano Schmidt decided to return to Vietnam to seek opportunities. After a period of unsuccessful probation in Hai Phong and Quang Nam, he was finally signed by the port team in the middle of the V.League 2018 season. This is an important turning point, opening a new journey for his career.

In Hai Phong, Adriano Schmidt quickly became a reliable block in the defense. With an ideal height of 1m85 and strong bodybuilding, he has a great advantage in the air dispute phase and confrontation. Despite the initial difficulties in communicating due to limited Vietnamese language, he tried to learn and integrate with his teammates. His bloody, fierce and stability play has helped Hai Phong become an uncomfortable opponent in the V.League.

Excellent form in Binh Dinh shirt has brought his name to a new level, attracting the attention of the head coach of the national team.

Last summer, Adriano Schmidt signed a 2 -year contract with the unified field team – Ho Chi Minh City Club. He quickly became the mainstay of the 'Red Fly' with 23 appearances in V.League and 1 in the QG Cup.

As a center -back with a modern gameplay, combining physical strength and good situations, Adriano Schmidt quickly caught the sight of the Becamex HCM City coaching staff and was signed by this team.

With the appearance of Adriano Schmidt at Go Dau Stadium, this promises to help coach Nguyen Anh Duc to be more secure with the defense – which has revealed many mistakes last season.
