Moises Baute, former Kickboxing championship for Enfusion and One Championship, was arrested at Tenerife because of the suspect of murder, after bringing the victim's body to the police station himself.
Baute is a prominent name in the European martial arts community, especially in Spain, where he is known for his remarkable performance in Kickboxing. However, his career and image fell into a crime whirlpool after appearing at the National Police Station Tres De Mayo at Santa Cruz de Tenerife with a body in the back seat.
According to EL Dia, the victim was identified as “Albertito”, a local resident in El Cardonal in La Laguna city. The victim's partner reported the police on Tuesday afternoon when he discovered he was missing, and said the victim had an appointment to meet Moises Baute before disappearing.
Not only Baute, another man named Jonathan Martin, a nightclub guard and is known as “Johnny El Gordo”, was also arrested for being involved in the incident. These two people are said to have transported the victim's body together to the police station, maybe with the purpose of asking for drilling.
Currently the cause of death of the victim has not been officially confirmed. According to Telecinco, police are investigating whether death is related to a kidnapping and torture or the consequence of a scuffle between three people.
Investigation journalist Pedro Fumero from El Dia revealed: “One of the hypotheses being considered by the murder investigating team is that the victim has been brutal and killed in a drug -related payment case.”
Moises Baute is no stranger to the law. In 2023, he was sentenced to 2 and a half years in prison for threatening a business owner. His crime records also include acts such as drug thieves from other merchants and threatening others.
Before being involved in the labor cycle, Baute was an impressive martial artist with 30 professional matches, winning 21 wins (including 10 matches with knock-out) and 9 defeats. He won the world championship in organizations like Enfusion and Superkombat.
The victory in regional tournaments helped Baute eligible to attend “Road to One: Strikers Cage Championship 7” in June 20221, the tournament that the winner will be “Road to One: Europe”. After defeating Knock-out Christian Brorhilker in the semi-finals, Baute won the score against David Trallero in the final to win the championship.
However, since then, Baute was no longer upper, and now his name was mentioned in a murder case that shocked Spain's public opinion.
