Winger Jack Greealish has officially signed a contract with Everton on a loan from Man City. His contract with the Merseyside team has a £ 50 million purchase.
The 29-year-old midfielder became Everton's sixth rookie this summer, after Kernan Dewsbury-Hall, Charly Alcaraz, Therno Barry, Mark Travers and Adam Aznou.
Greealish said the conversation with coach David Moyes of “The Toffees” played a key role in his decision to move to Hill Dickinson. “I am really happy to sign a contract with Everton. This is very meaningful to me. This is a great club, with great fans,” the British star shared.
“As soon as I talked to the coach, I knew that there was only one place where I wanted to go.
“I would like to thank the fans for all the messages, affection and support I have received. I hope I can repay and I will surely do it.”
Greealis joined Man City from Aston Villa in August 2021 with a record fees for English football at that time it was £ 100 million. He played more than 150 times for the club, won 3 Premier League championships, 1 Champions League and 1 FA Cup. However, last season he lost his foothold, only played the main 7 matches in the Premier League and was named from the list of FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the US.
The movement to Everton opens up the opportunity for Grealish to revive his career. Greealish will also aim to regain his best in England, after admitting that last summer he was “heartbroken” when he was eliminated from the list of the Three Lions to attend Euro 2024.
