Crystal Palace confirmed that Marc Guehi could be sold in the summer of 2025, but Chelsea had withdrawn from the defender's signature race.
The Premier League champion, Liverpool, has emerged as a leading candidate to sign a contract with Marc Guehi, who expired the contract with Palace next summer. Speaking after the victory of Crystal Palace against Liverpool in the UK Super Cup match, President of the Eagle, Steve Parish alluded to he was willing to sell Guehi.
The 25 -year -old claimed to be one of the best central defenders in the Premier League in the past two seasons, he was the captain of Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup championship in May. Liverpool targeted Guehi after selling Jarell Quanusah to Bayer Leverkusen in early summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has agreed on personal terms with Guehi and is currently in the final negotiation phase with Palace on the fee. The southern London team hopes to earn about 40 million pounds from selling Guehi, but Liverpool only wants to pay £ 30 million, plus £ 5 million.
Chelsea showed interest in re -signing a contract with Guehi, whom they sold in 2021, but TalkSport said they gave up the price of 40 million pounds that Palace offered. This move of the Blues surprised many, because they were in need of a new center -back after Levi Colwill's serious injury.
Chelsea spent £ 250 million on new contracts this summer, but they are still trying to bring back to Stamford Bridge at least one or two more contracts.
