The future of Alejandro Garnacho at MU is open, after he was rejected by three teams with the Champions League tickets.
The future of Alejandro Garnacho in MU has almost closed. The young Argentine is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer. However, three teams with the Champions League, including Arsenal, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid, decided not to recruit Alejandro Garnacho this summer.
All three clubs conducted a thorough assessment of Garnacho before deciding to pursue other attack options. Both Spurs and Arsenal show interest in Crystal Palace's star Eberechi Eze, while Arsenal also promptly brought back the Noni Madueke winger from Chelsea. Besides, Spurs have negotiated the ability to buy Savinho from Manchester City. Atletico Madrid, the former Garnacho club, initially considered re -signing a contract with the Argentine player but eventually chose Villarreal's Alexa Baena winger.
In this context, Chelsea is becoming the brightest stop with Garnacho. The Blues is said to have reached an individual agreement with the 21 -year -old and currently only closing the fee with MU. The Red Devils significantly reduced the financial requirements compared to January, the time Chelsea once expressed interest.
In the 2024/25 Europa League final against Tottenham, Garnacho was only launched in the last 20 minutes. Garnacho then shared: “Throughout the Europa League journey, I participated to help the team, but in the final, I only played for 20 minutes. I don't know why. This will definitely affect my decision.”
