Coach Jose Mourinho can return to work at a Premier League club right this season, after being fired by Fenerbahce.
According to The Times, Nottingham Forest and West Ham are two clubs contacting Mourinho and ready to bring the Portuguese strategist back to the Premier League. Although Nottingham Forest has an impressive 2024/25 season, the relationship between coach Nuno Espirito Santo and Director EDU is cracking.
0-3 defeat at home to West Ham in the third round of the Premier League increases the pressure on Espirito Santo. The owner of Nottingham, Marineakas, has long had a good relationship with Mourinho and believes that “special people” can bring glory to the club in the Europa League arena this season.
At West Ham, coach Graham Potter is also facing great pressure from the beginning of the 2025/26 season. The West Ham lost both the English Premier League, causing Potter's chair to wobble.
The 3-0 unexpected victory over Nottingham Forest brought a little hope to the British coach. But with Lucas Paqueta preparing to join Aston Villa, West Ham is expected to face more difficulties in the near future. They even have the risk of early falling into the relegation whirlpool if they play less impressive after the national focus.
However, if West Ham does not maintain his form, Mourinho is considered a potential candidate to replace Potter. In addition to the two Premier League clubs, Mourinho also received some suggestions from Saudi Pro League, MLS.
Even Rangers is offered to invite the former captain MU. Remember at the end of August, Fenerbahce announced that Mourinho's dismissal was due to the second consecutive club unable to reach the Champions League class.
