MU has accepted the offer on the form of loan from the Turkish club, Trabzonsport to sign a contract with goalkeeper Andrre Onana.
The MU defense continues to play badly at the beginning of the 2025/26 season, both Altay Bayindir and Andra Onana have a disaster start. Bayindir was respected by coach Ruben Amorim but made a mistake in the goals against Arsenal and Burnley, and also did not compete on the away field against Fulham.
Onana captured the first match of the new season in the Carabao Cup match against Grimsby Town, he continued to play badly, causing MU to be eliminated after defeating in a penalty shootout. This has promoted MU to sign a contract with Senne Lambens from Royal Antwerp for £ 18 million on the last day of the summer market 2025.
MU and Andrre Onana responded to Trabzonsport's offer. |
While the transfer in the UK was closed, clubs in Türkiye and Saudi Arabia could still recruit players, they were negotiating with MU to recruit Bayindir or Onana. Trabzonsport is looking for a replacement of Ugurcan Cakir, the goalkeeper they sold to Galatasaray, the TNK team of MU's Onana and Man City's Stefan Ortega.
Türkiye's Takvim journalist reported that Trabzonsport sent an offer to borrow Onana to MU. Fabrizio Romano now reported that they had received a nod from the Red Man, and decided now depending on Onana.
According to The Athletic, the Cameroon player is willing to move to TNK to find the opportunity to play more often. If Onana left, this would be the next notable departure of the Red Man in the summer of 2025, after Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.
