On September 11, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation had a meeting. This organization agreed to not allow athlete Dang Thi Hong to attend the second phase of the 2025 National Championship.
The reason for making a decision to ban Dang Thi Hong was not mentioned by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation. Talking to the press, the representative of the Federation said: “There may be a player who encountered a sex issue when attending the content for women. This is a sensitive issue. However, the Federation still let the player attend the second phase of the National Championship 2025 due to the National Championship Championship 2025 issued since the beginning of the year, no inspection required.
The representative of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation also said that, for the Vietnam Women's Volleyball team, it is expected that in case the player is focused on the national duty that meets the suspect, the manager may request to perform sex check by the Sry gene analysis method from the athletes's mucosa or dry blood samples. When the results are guaranteed, the athletes are allowed to attend the international tournament to avoid unfortunate incidents.

Dang Thi Hong was born in 2006, the Dao ethnic group. Not possessing an ideal height (1m70), but the girl born in 2006 from Bac Kan made a strong impression thanks to her ability to jump well, the spirit of brave competition and enthusiastic play style.

Since then, she has gradually asserted herself in the Ath Division and was quickly noticed by the big teams. In 2022, Hong Binh was borrowed from Ninh Binh LPBank to play in the league, where she became a effective support factor for seniors like Bich Tuyen. On the pitch, she not only attacked effectively but also had the ability to defend and block the ball flexibly – something rare in such a young athlete.
