Mbeumo in Brentford, not to MU?

Bryan Mbeumo is being pursued fiercely by MU. However, Brentford's GDD – Mr. Phil Giles – recently confirmed that it was “not impossible” if Mbeumo stayed another season.

Mbeumo is being pursued by MU fiercely

Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season and ranked fourth in the list of top scorer, only one year with Brentford. However, Giles said the team is still willing to keep the Cameroon star if the offers from MU or Tottenham do not meet financial requirements.

“We are waiting for an appropriate offer. If it doesn't come, keeping him stay is entirely possible,” Giles told the BBC Sport. Notably, Mbeumo is said to be the priority to move to Man United rather than reuniting with coach Thomas Frank – who has just left Brentford to take over Tottenham.

This makes the Old Trafford team become the most feasible destination, especially after they have sent a proposal twice but they are rejected. It is expected that MU will return to the third proposal in the coming days.

Brentford's GDD, Mr. Phil Giles, left the possibility of Mbeumo staying at the club

Giles emphasized: “He had a great season and obviously attracted great attention from the clubs. He has the right to dream and pursue the direction for his career. But if the offer is unreasonable, there is no reason we have to sell. Mbeumo is one of the best players we have – possibly the best – and nothing wrong to keep the best player.”

However, continuing to keep Mbeumo is also risky. Without selling him this summer, Brentford may lose players in the summer of 2026, when the contract matured. But in the opposite direction, keeping a high -class player like Mbeumo can also help the team strengthen its position in the Premier League and avoid a personnel crisis after the departure of coach Thomas Frank.

Currently, Man United is still the brightest candidate for MBeumo's signature, but this deal will depend heavily on the price that Brentford requests, which are thought to be about 60 million pounds. Meanwhile, the pressure is on the BLD BLDFORD: If sold, they have to use that money wise to avoid lagging in the Premier League race next season.
