According to The Sun, Chelsea is interested in signing a contract with Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo this summer.
Garnacho really wants to move to Stamford Bridge this summer, but Chelsea has not agreed with MU. The Red Devils are looking for £ 50 million for the Argentine player, but Chelsea does not want to pay that price. Garnacho was eliminated from MU's season before and was practicing separately, so Chelsea believed that they could recruit this player in the summer of 2025.
Desiring to stay in the Premier League and playing for a club to attend the Champions League, Garnacho agreed personal terms with Chelsea but was waiting for an agreement between clubs. Chelsea still pursued Garnacho despite spending about £ 250 million on new contracts this summer.
Kobbie Mainoo is still in Chelsea's sights. |
The Blues is also negotiating with RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons and still cares about MU midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. Chelsea has been allegedly wanted to have this player in the past 12 months and The Sun said they were still hoping to have Mainoo.
Although there is no intention of selling Mainoo, MU is having difficulty signing a new long -term contract with this 20 -year -old player. Mainoo had a breakthrough season at Old Trafford in the 2023/24 season, gained a capacity in England team to attend Euro 2024 and play in the final against Spain.
Last season he was injured and did not contribute much to MU, so the Red Man could sell him if he received a large amount of money. In an exclusive interview with Metro, former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel urged his former club to recruit both Mainoo and Garnacho from MU.
