Al Hilal successfully recruited Darwin Nunez

Al Hilal Club has officially reached an agreement to recruit the Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez from Liverpool for £ 46 million (53 million euros). His contract with Saudi Arabia club is 3 years.

Romano confirmed Al Hilal had successfully recruited Nunez

According to exclusive sources from Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have completed the transfer agreement at a fixed price of about 46.2 million pounds (equivalent to 53 million euros), along with surcharges that can bring a total value of up to £ 56.6 million. The contract with Nunez is expected to last for 3 years, and the striker basically agreed on personal terms, preparing to conduct medical examination in the near future.

Personally financially, Nunez's salary at Al Hilal will be nearly three than the income in Liverpool, an increase of £ 140,000/week to about £ 400,000/week. This is a generous contract, reflecting Al Hilal's ambition when building a squad under coach Simone Inzaghi.

Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 with the initial price of up to 64 million pounds and sub -terms, the value could be up to £ 85 million. In 3 seasons at Anfield, he played a total of 143 matches, scoring 40 goals, but his form was somewhat unstable. In the 2024/25 season, he only had 7 goals after 47 matches in all competitions. Nunez often has difficulty confirming the official position, especially at the end of last season.

In the last summer transfer window, Nunez was quite interested by many clubs in addition to Al Hilal. Both Napoli and AC Milan have shown interest, but they do not meet the Liverpool fee required and cannot compete with financial proposals from Saudi Arabia.

Previously, in the winter transfer window, Liverpool once refused to propose about £ 60 million from Al Nassr, but this time they agreed to let Nunez leave when the season ended. Liverpool also turned the green light for players to negotiate directly with Al Hilal on personal terms.

With this deal, Liverpool continued to implement the squad restructuring plan, after selling Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich and could promote the recruitment of Alexander Isak from Newcastle.
