The sports director of AS Reder himself, Frederic Massara, confirmed the transfer of winger Jadon Sancho from MU has stopped, due to the lack of motivation by the British star.
AS Roma's Massara sports director interviewed Dazn just a few minutes before the Serie A match with Bologna starting on Saturday night. This is the first official match of the betel color team this season at Olimpico Stadium.
AS Roma negotiated with Sancho for days, but the British winger did not seem to want to join Giallorossi. Although Sancho has had more time to think from the beginning of the week, it seems that the patience of the Romans has reached the limit, when they decided to withdraw from the deal.
“Sancho is a strong player, who is contacted by all Italian clubs,” Massara confirmed through Sportmediaset.
“Currently, this is just a proposal, because it does not seem to have any conditions to conduct this deal, especially when Sancho has no motivation to join AS Roma,” Roma's big boss added.
Besides, Massara also revealed that he was seeking to sell midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, who was no longer the captain of Roma for the 2025/26 season. West Ham recently contacted the Italian player, who will not extend the contract with the club after 2026.
“I talked to the representative of Lorenzo and we came to the decision that we would not renew the contract with him. Therefore, in order not to lose the player in the form of free transfer, and also consider Lorenzo's goodwill, we are looking for opportunities. There are still 8 days left, if not, we will have to wait until the January transfer period,” Massara Director said.
