Brighton bluntly rejected Man United's first offer to the defensive midfielder Carlos Baleba. Accordingly, this proposal includes money plus a Red Devil player.
According to The Standard, MU proposed to bring Toby Collyer into a cash exchange agreement to recruit BaleBa. The 21 -year -old Cameroon is currently priced at £ 115 million, the number equivalent to the Chelsea paid to own Moises Caicedo in 2023.
Coach Fabian Hurzeler and the Board of Directors of Brighton claimed BaleBa was not for sale this summer. However, Man United still considers him a top goal to strengthen the middle line, after completing the attacks including Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
BaleBa was absent in Brighton's last 3 friendly matches due to a knee injury encountered at the training ground, but over the weekend he still appeared in the stands to cheer his teammates in the match against Wolfsburg.
Despite resolutely holding the pillar, Brighton also prepared the alternative plan. Names like Diego Gomez and Malick Yalcouye emerged as a top candidate, while Jack Hinshelwood, Matt O'riley, Mats Wieffer and Yasin Ayari are ready to compete next season.
This is a familiar formula of “seabirds” – the club has repeatedly lost stars like Yves Bissouma, CaiCedo or Alexis Mac Allister but still maintains his form thanks to new factors to quickly grow and replace successfully.
In the coming days, MU will most likely continue to make new offers to convince Brighton to release. This is a familiar way of the Reds in recent deals like with Mbeumo or Sesko.
