Chelsea pushed both Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Ansymino to Dortmund

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the latest transfer moves of Chelsea, in the context of the Stamford Bridge home team is trying to close the Xavi Simons deal.

Chukwuemeka was bought by Dortmund for 25 million euros

Simons is the big goal of the Blues in the last week of the summer transfer window 2025, but RB Leipzig's attack star made them difficult to reach.

To be able to sign a contract with the Dutch midfielder, Chelsea need to release the space in the squad. The process is being rushed with Carney Chukwuemeka moving to Dortmund.

Romano announced on X: “Carney Chukwuemeka to Borussia Dortmund, Here We Go! The completed agreement and the plan that has been confirmed. Chelsea will receive about 25 million euros with extra terms and a resale term, this is a key factor in the deal.”

Carney put on Dortmund in the second half of last season, played 13 times. But the 21 -year -old midfielder's deal to the Bundesliga Club is only one of the two transactions that are closed between the two sides. The Argentine center -back, Aaron Ansymino, also agreed to join Dortmund. However, unlike Carney, he pointed to Germany on loan.

Anselmino also joins Dortmund but is on loan

Carney is part of the plan to pave the way for Chelsea to recruit Simons, the London team will most likely have to break up with some more players to complete the deal with the former PSG and Barcelona stars.

One of them may be Christopher Nkunku, who is likely to return to the Bundesliga. The French star is being pursued by both Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig. Chelsea also sold defender Renato Veiga to Villarreal for a significant fee in recent days, continuing to streamline coach Enzo Maresca's squad.

In fact, Chelsea is no longer too far from the balance of the transfer budget this summer. They spent 280 million euros to bring back the rookie, and earned 201 million euros from the player deals. This figure does not even take into account the Chukwuemeka deal to Dortmund.
