The young Colombian striker, Jhon Duran, has reached an agreement to join Fenerbahce – the team being led by coach Jose Mourinho. This is one of the most noticeable deals in the summer transfer window 2025.

Romano confirmed Fenerbahce successfully borrowed Duran

According to information from the leading transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal has reached a complete agreement between three parties: Al Nassr, Fenerbahce and Duran individual. Specifically, Romano confirmed with the familiar phrase “Here We Go!” On social network X, accompanied by details that Duran will sign a 1 -year contract with the Turkish team on loan, lasting until June 2026.

Earlier, the 20 -year -old has received attention from many big teams. However, Duran is said to have chosen Fenerbahce because of the “attractive sports project” under Mourinho's hand, who directly called him to persuade him.

Duran will come to Istanbul in the next few days to complete the medical examination and sign a contract. According to Fotomac (Türkiye), Fenerbahce has prepared a spectacular welcome plan for young rookie, considering him as a key factor in the squad towards the goal of winning the Super Lig championship and moving far in the European Cup next season.

Duran will have the opportunity to work with Mourinho

Once considered one of the most promising talents in South America, Jhon Duran moved to Aston Villa from Chicago Fire in January 2023 for a fee of £ 15 million. Although he did not play regularly in the Premier League, he still impressed by his bodybuilding, speed and sharp finish. However, he suddenly joined Al Nassr in January for £ 64.5 million.

Despite only 21 weeks in Saudi Pro League, Duran has left a mark with 12 goals after 18 appearances. He also promptly accumulated a significant amount of assets when following the Capology, the striker signed a 5 -and -a -half -year contract worth more than £ 335,000 per week at Al Nassr, equivalent to more than £ 7 million in just 5 short months – 4.5 times the income if he stayed Villa with a salary of £ 75,000/week.

Because Al Nassr has just signed a super terrible contract with Cristiano Ronaldo, they are forced to push Duran to leave on a loan to balance financial. However, for Duran, moving to Türkiye is not necessarily not good. He has the opportunity to make a mark back to Europe, playing in a more competitive environment than Saudi Pro League. If he continues to maintain an impressive performance, he can be bought by Fenerbahce or attracted attention from other leading clubs.

With Fenerbahce, they will have a young, healthy, speed and energetic striker. This is expected to bring more diversified plans for Mourinho's very powerful attack.
