Midfielder Bui Ngoc Long is likely to break up with Ho Chi Minh City Club to join the Hanoi Police Club.
Ho Chi Minh City Club has been changing in recent times. Latest, the southern team is likely to leave midfielder Bui Ngoc Long. Currently, this player is still practicing with the Ho Chi Minh City Club. But if the agreement is completed, Ngoc Long can join the Hanoi Police Club. Ngoc Long is no stranger to the Hanoi Police Club. In the 2023/24 season, Ngoc Long had moved to the police team to play in the half of the season before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Last season, Ngoc Long scored 3 goals and had 1 pass. This right -wing midfielder contributes greatly to the general play of Ho Chi Minh City as well as the relegation of a round soon.
In the morning of the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Club announced the list of 18 young players selected to the Gremio Club to study abroad, in the cooperation program between the two governments of Vietnam and Brazil. The first cooperation with 18 young players of Ho Chi Minh City was sent to Brazil to study from the beginning of August. Of these, there are 16 players from BMG Academy (formerly Juventus Vietnam) and 2 players of Lyon Center.
Regarding the choice to cooperate with the Gremio Club, the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Club explained: “In fact, we have focused on training children since 2018 through cooperation with the Juventus Club (Italy) to establish the Juventus Vietnam Academy located in Ba Ria. Now at the age of in -depth training for young players, we decided to take it to more suitable places and Brazil is the best choice. Especially, the Gremio Club has trained many generations of good players not only for Brazilian football but also the world. “
The leader of Ho Chi Minh City Club said the cost to bring young players to Brazil to eat long -term training is much more expensive than other places from 3 to 4 times. Even so, they are determined to choose this place because: “Instead of training young players in Vietnam, we choose to train in Brazil at the cost of about 30-40 billion/year. We sacrifice achievements for a few years to be able to help Ho Chi Minh City football with new players to compete with high results in the future,” Ho Chi Minh City Club leaders expressed.
It is known that, among the 18 Ho Chi Minh City players studying in the first phase, 3 U19 players will go to school for 1 year and then return, the remaining 15 players will go to school longer, but each year there is a screening to re -evaluate. After the first generation, Ho Chi Minh City plans to send 10 more players to Brazil to study.
