Jordan Henderson agreed to sign a contract with Brentford after leaving Ajax, this was unexpected information because he had previously been expected to dock Sunderland.

Henderson was convened by Thomas Tuchel to return to England, and the midfielder was identified by Brentford as the replacement of Christian Norgaard, the player who was signed by Arsenal. Brentford was forced to rebuild after coach Thomas Frank left to replace Ange Postecoglou in Tottenham. The replacement Keith Andrews also prepared to lose striker Bryan Mbeumo on MU's hands.
