Xuan Truong officially broke up with Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club after the V.League season 2024/25 ended. In a video longer than 12 minutes posted recently, the midfielder in 1995 confirmed the decision to leave the team, thanking coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, leadership, coaching board, teammates and fans of Ha Tinh.
Despite 2 years of contract, Ha Tinh still facilitates Xuan Truong to leave instead of trying to hold Xuan Truong to stay. The former HAGL player also said that the reason for breaking up is not related to professional issues or relationships, which comes from the aspiration to move to another club to try, but rumored to be Binh Phuoc fresh school, the team is playing in the first division and is aiming to promote V.League.
During the time of Ha Tinh's coat from the 2nd phase of V.League 2023/24 on the form of loan from Hai Phong, Xuan Truong played 38 matches, recorded 6 assists, contributing to helping the team achieve the 5th place in the final season 2024/25 – an impressive achievement.
