MU is pursuing a true revolution in the attack, with the frame including Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and some energetic 9. However, to make dreams come true, they need to accelerate the sale of players. This is a key factor to open the cash flow and complete the unfinished big deals.
Slash
Unless there is a big change next week, people who come to the Friends Arena in Stockholm to watch the match between Man United and Leeds United next Saturday will probably not witness many rookies in the Red Devils squad.
Man United had a dream starting in the summer transfer window 2025 when quickly announcing the contract with Matheus CuHa just 14 hours after the market was opened on 1/6. However, the progress was later stopped.
The Red Devils are currently entangled in prolonged negotiations with Brentford about the Bryan Mbeumo deal, causing other transfer targets to not be promoted on time.
MU determined to increase the attack as a top priority after they had a negative goal difference in two consecutive Premier League seasons, and decided to spend 62.5 million pounds to buy CunHa was considered a right step.
CuHa scored 17 goals last season and will add the threat needed for Man United's attack. The club still hopes Mbeumo, who has scored 20 goals in the Premier League season 2024/25, will soon join CunHa at Old Trafford.
However, Man United need to do more on the attacking front in addition to recruiting Mbeumo. Recently, Manchester Evening News has analyzed the United deals to be completed to reform public goods before the season begins.
The goals need to bring back
As mentioned, Man United is still trying to reach an agreement with Brentford to recruit Mbeumo. The 25 -year -old has received two offers from Man United, in which the second proposal worth over 60 million pounds is said to be attractive enough but the bees are still not satisfied.
Both Man United and Mbeumo want to complete this deal as soon as possible. The Cameroon striker has informed Brentford from the beginning of June that he wanted to move to Old Trafford and were not interested in the proposal from other clubs. The problem now is just an agreement on how to pay.
It is known that Man United wants to recruit Mbeumo to arrange him as the number 10 right, and Cunha will kick left. This means that the United attack will have a completely new appearance.
Of course, Man United still needs to recruit a true striker to combine with the duo. They need to invest in a stable goalscorer because although Cunha and Mbeumo have good goals last season, no one is sure they will maintain such a high form next season. It is still required to have a 9 goals that score 20 goals per season.
Liam Delap was once determined to be the top goal for the striker position with the £ 30 million liberation clause at Ipswich Town. But Chelsea was the winning team in this deal even though Delap had negotiated with Man United.
Although missing Delap is not too big shock, because he has only one peak football season, but that still affects the plan to find No. 9 of Man United. They were contacted with Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and some other names, but had not sent any official offer.
The problem that Man United is facing is that they need to sell players to have more recruitment budgets, and that so far is not easy to do.
The deals need liquidation
Not winning tickets for the Champions League 2025/26 has made Man United's revenue plummet, meaning that they have to act smarter in the transfer market. After spending 62.5 million pounds for Cunha and ready to spend more for Mbeumo, the Red Devils need to quickly push the “redundant” to balance the budget.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony have been identified as players for sale since May, while Alejandro Garnocho was informed that he could leave if he received the right price. This quartet, along with defender Tyrell Malacia, informed Man United last week that they wanted to leave this summer to find new opportunities. This means that both players and clubs have agreed.
Man United values Rashford at £ 40 million, Antony is £ 32.58 million, Sancho from £ 20–25 million, Garnacho over £ 50 million and Malacia is about 5 million pounds. If it is possible to collect the above fees and release the salary fund, Man United will have more opportunities to continue recruiting rookies, not only in attack but also in other positions.
Rasmus Hojlund is not out of the list that can be left, in the context of Inter Milan interested, but Man United will not let him leave if he has not found a replacement.
The liquidation of the player now is extremely important, and Man United only knows that the interested clubs will soon send them offers.
