After 6 months of borrowing, Fenerbahce bought defender Milan Milan Skriniar from PSG. Along with that, coach Jose Mourinho is aiming to recruit Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid.
After a long time of negotiation, Fenerbahce finally completed the recruitment of Milan Skriniar. On the homepage, Jose Mourinho's team confirmed a 4 -year contract with the central defender Slovakia, keeping him staying at the club until the summer of 2029.
To own Skriniar, Fenerbahce only pays PSG 10 million euros with surcharges. But this is still a profitable PSG deal because 2 years ago, they recruited 30 -year -old center -back from Inter Milan on the form of free transfer.
Time at Inter Milan, Skriniar was once considered one of the best central defenders in Europe, but when he came to PSG, he was not respected by Luis Enrique. The Spanish military leader prefers to use the midfielder Marquinhos and Willian Pocho.
Unable to find a place at PSG, Skriniar joined Fenerbahce in the 2025 winter transfer period on loan. In the second half of last season, he played 23 matches in all competitions, contributing 3 goals to Mourinho's team. The performance of the Slovakian player persuaded BLD Fenerbahce to decide to buy him.
Similar to Skriniar, Fenerbahce previously bought midfielder Sofyan Amrabat after 1 year of borrowing from Fiorentina. In addition, Mourinho's team has strengthened a number of quality recruits such as striker Jhon Duran (borrowed from Al Nassr), right -back Nelson Semedo (from Wolves) and left -back Archie Brown (from Kaa Gent).
According to Football Espana, Mourinho wants to enhance the creativity for the attack and believe Diaz will be an ideal piece for the Turkish team. Currently, Diaz is not having a foothold in the revolution of Xabi Alonso at the Bernabeu.
Coach Alonso emphasized that Real Madrid's attack in the 2025/26 season will prioritize stars like Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Arda Guler, Gonzalo Garcia or Jude Bellingham. Therefore, Diaz should leave to find a new stop, instead of sitting on the bench.
