MU decided to sell 5 people before the deadline, aiming at Camavinga and Donnarumma

MU is entering the peak period of the summer transfer period with two main goals: liquidating the players who are no longer in the plan and recruit more stars to enhance the squad.

MU tries to push away 5 redundant people before the summer transfer period 2025 closed

According to Manchester Evening News, coach Ruben Amorim asked the MU leadership to push at least 5 names before the market closed. This list includes Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.

These are players who no longer meet the expectations or inappropriate philosophy of Amorim. Some sources even said that MU could sell up to 6 people, including goalkeeper Andrre Onana, in order to free the salary fund for rookies.

In the latest developments, AC Milan gave up the pursuit of Hojlund but Napoli quickly got involved. Garnacho is still being contacted by Chelsea and can be finalized before the summer transfer window closed. Antony is still trying to wear Real Betis while Sancho is asked by many clubs to buy but he has not agreed because he wants to keep a high salary. The situation of Malacia is a bit difficult when no team has officially contacted.

In the opposite direction, the Red Devils are focusing on two major deals. The first goal is PSG's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. After being eliminated from the list of Super Cup and confirmed that the contract was not extended, the Italian goalkeeper is likely to leave Parc des Princes this summer.

MU wants to bring back Donnarumma and Camavinga

PSG is ready to sell for about £ 30–40 million, but Donnarumma's high salary may become a barrier. However, the legends Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney both asserted that MU needs a class goalkeeper to replace Altay Bayindir, who made a serious mistake in the defeat of Arsenal.

The second goal is Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. Although still appreciated for the potential, the French player is not sure the main kick under coach Xabi Alonso. MU is considering spending 80 million euros to convince Real to release. If successful, Camavinga will become an important addition to the middle line, replacing the Carlos Baleba plan that has been removed.

According to Football365, MU intends to spend about 150 million euros for Donnarumma and Camavinga deals. However, to ensure financial balance, the club is required to liquidate the group of players who are considered “redundant” before the deadline. This is also a prerequisite for Amorim coach to deploy a comprehensive reconstruction plan.
