MU is actively planning to add forces to the middle line in the summer transfer period of 2025 and have targeted two notable names: Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Frattesi – two central midfielders who are playing Inter Milan.
According to sources from England and Italy, the Reds officially contacted Inter to learn the ability to recruit Hakan Calhanoglu. The 31 -year -old Turkish midfielder had an impressive season with Inter, and was considered a short -term solution but the quality for the Manchester United midfield after Christian Eriksen left and Casemiro was too old.
Inter is said to be willing to sell Calhanoglu if you receive a reasonable offer, with a price of about 40 million euros. However, Calhanoglu himself is currently feeling satisfied with life in Milan and has not rushed to leave the club. In addition to MU, Galatasaray, Fulham and some teams in Saudi Arabia are also following the damage.
At the same time, Man United is also pursuing Davide Frattesi-25-year-old midfielder, prominent with a strong box-to-box play and good attack support. Frattesi is currently not playing regularly at Inter and is considering the options to ensure the position in the Azzurri squad.
However, this deal also faced many obstacles. Inter's new coach – Cristian Chivu – directly chatted with Frattesi and pledged to give the main kicking chance regularly next season. This makes the Italian player more likely to stay in San Siro, unless MU makes a suggestion enough to convince.
In addition to Man United, Tottenham and Napoli also expressed interest in Frattesi. Inter pricing this player at about 35 million euros – the number is within the ability to pay MU, especially when they are preparing to break up with some players to balance the financial after the unpleasant season.
With both Calhanoglu and Frattesi are experienced players in Serie A and used to play in the Champions League, they will be the ideal addition to reinforcing the middle line for the Old Trafford team – especially in the context of Ruben Amorim coach looking for balance and creativity in the gameplay.
Currently, no official offer has been sent to Inter Milan, but MU proactively approaching both shows that they are preparing very carefully for the period of rebuilding forces this summer.
