After being eliminated by the American Pickleball Association (UPA) from the PPA competition system because of violating the cooperation agreement with non -licensed sponsors, the Vietnamese -original Vietnamese athletes quickly returned to Vietnam and immediately entered a dense schedule with many events, tournaments and promotional activities.
According to family information, Quang Duong was not psychologically affected after the sentence from UPA. His father, Mr. Duc Duong, said that he had authorized lawyers to handle legal issues in the US.
Meanwhile, Duong himself chooses a positive direction: approaching the domestic fan community and developing his career in Vietnam, where the Pickleball movement is growing strongly.
Only in July, Quang Duong announced a series of activities stretching from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat and Pleiku. Specifically, on July 16, he participated in three consecutive exchanges with fans. On July 17, Quang Duong was present at the event “Saigon – City of Rally” and played performed with many domestic players.
From July 18 to July 23, he will return to Hanoi to participate in exchanges and signing programs. From July 23 to 27, Duong will move to Dalat and Pleiku to continue their series of events.
Notably, although no longer playing in the PPA system, Quang Duong's income increased sharply. If playing in the US only brought him about $ 300,000 per year, with becoming a brand representative for many brands in Vietnam, especially Wika Racket Company, this figure is estimated to be more than 500,000 USD per year.
Quang Duong's active activity in the country not only helps him maintain his performance and reputation, but also contributes to spreading Pickleball in Vietnam, which is growing very fast. Many fans expect that he will become a new generation professional sports model, both have competition and know how to build images and connect the community.
