Real Madrid has focused on liquidating the player in recent weeks and they have just confirmed the departure of striker Reinier Jesus.
Late last month, it was reported that Real Madrid was considering the termination of the contract with Reinier, but the fact that he was sold to Brazil's Atletico Mineiro, after the club officially confirmed.
“Real Madrid CF and Clube Atletico Mineiro have agreed on the transfer of Reinier. Real Madrid wants to express gratitude and deep affection for the years he has been with the club, and wish him and his family the best in the new period of life,” Real Madrid's homepage said.
Meanwhile, Reinier shared that when I came to Belo Horizonte on Tuesday night: “I am very happy to get to Galo (the nickname of Atletico Mineiro). As I told my father, everyone and the staff, I want a home, and I think I have found the right place. I am not home, and now I'm sure Galo is my new home.”
When joining Real Madrid in January 2020 from Flamengo, Reinier was once expected. He spent the first 6 months in the Spanish capital with the Real Castilla team, but did not make a positive impression. Reinier was later borrowed for two years to Dortmund, where he struggled to find a foothold in the German team squad.
Next is the loan to Girona, Frosinone and Granada, but Reinier has never maintained a series of good matches. That made his days at Real Madrid began to count down, and now they ended.
At the age of 23, Reinier still has time to start doing it and this will be easier to return home. This player may have the opportunity to return to Europe in the future, but now he will focus on making a difference for his new club.
Reinier's departure allows Real Madrid to reduce the burden of salary, although this does not affect the first team situation. If they want to add a player to the squad, they first need to sell another player.
