Real Madrid is focusing the attention of the scout department to U19 and U21 European U21 this summer, with 4 potential names to strengthen forces in the near future.
The Spanish Royal Club has long been famous for the strategy of recruiting youngest talents in the world. Just earlier this month, they reached an agreement to recruit Abdellah Ouazane – 16 -year -old Morocco midfielder as “the new Jude Bellingham” – from Ajax, as revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano. The deal will officially be completed in July.
Not stopping there, Real Madrid continued to follow the youth tournaments in Europe and identified four prominent names playing in U19 and U21 European U21 finals. According to Marca, the most appreciated player on the list is striker Nick Woltemade of Germany U21 and Stuttgart Club.
Woltemade is currently the top scorer at the U21 European tournament with 6 goals, the latest is the goal against the U21 Italian net. He has reached the sights of many Premier League clubs, but Real Madrid is said to follow the striker.
The second name is Castello Lukeba – the French center -back playing for RB Leipzig. Lukeba is a calm center -back and has the ability to distribute the ball from the lower route, both Liverpool and Chelsea to keep an eye on. However, Real Madrid is also closely monitoring his development process at the Bundesliga and this year's U21 tournament.
The third name is Cristian Mosquera – Colombian center -back currently on Valencia payroll and is wearing the U21 Spain. According to Marca, Mosquera is very popular with the Real Madrid leadership, especially when his contract at Mestalla is only 1 year left.
Finally, Kees Smit – the central midfielder of AZ Alkmaar. Smit, 19, is currently the top scorer at the U19 European Cup with Pablo Garcia (Spain) and the German duo Said El Mala and Max Moerstedt. He is likely to play in the final between the Netherlands and Spain next Thursday.
Up to this point, Real Madrid has added three rookies for the 2025/26 season: Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold (from Liverpool), young talent Franco Mastastuono (Argentina) and center-back Dean Huijsen (former Bournemouth player).
Not stopping there, according to Cadena Ser, the home team of Santiago Bernabéu is also keeping an eye on Alejandro Grimaldo – the left -back that played extremely impressive in the 2023/24 season to help Bayer Leverkusen win a domestic double under the guidance of coach Xabi Alonso. Grimaldo is considered a quality supplement for the left corridor, in the context of Ferland Mendy frequently involved in injury.
The investment strategy for Real Madrid's future is on the right track, when they continue to build a solid foundation with promising young stars – ready to inherit the current golden generation.
