Real is ready to recruit Konate in the summer 2025

Konate has become the pillar of Liverpool's defense since joining from RB Leipzig in 2021. He has 132 appearances for the Anfield team, forming a solid duo with captain Virgil Van Dijk.

However, the future of the French center -back is being questioned when his current contract will expire at the end of the 2025/26 season, and the renewal negotiations are in a deadlock.

Real Madrid is said to really want to recruit Konate in the form of capitalism after he runs out of contract as he worked with Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, the Liverpool side does not want to lose an additional pillar in the form of freelance and are considering the options if it is impossible to reach an extension agreement.

In this context, Real Madrid proposed an unexpected exchange plan. Accordingly, they are willing to use 10 million euros and attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz in exchange for Konate's service. This is considered a test to assess the level of Liverpool's readiness to break up with the French center -back.

On the Liverpool side, they prepared for the ability to break up with Konate when they were contacted with a series of potential young defenders such as Marc Guihi (Crystal Palace), Levi Colwill (Chelsea) or Jorrel Hato (Ajax). In particular, Guehi is said to be the number one candidate instead if Konate leaves the team.

In addition, Liverpool is also approaching to recruit young striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for a fee of up to 95 million euros, in an effort to rebuild the attack after Diogo Jota suddenly died of a traffic accident.

With the contract of Konate only one year left and not progressing in negotiations, Liverpool may seriously consider the proposal from Real Madrid, although the price and the accompanying player in the proposal is still not enough to convince the Anfield team.
