Sadness of Vietnamese volleyball: The only Asian team is eliminated


The 2025 World Women's Volleyball Championship closed the group stage with many surprises, but most unfortunately the recruitment of Vietnam became the only Asian team was eliminated. Meanwhile, other representatives of the region such as Thailand, Japan or China have won tickets to continue.

After the miracle in the world playground, teachers and coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet entered the World World Volleyball Championship 2025 with many expectations.

However, the absence of Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen pillar caused significant decline in attack. Young faces like Vi Thi Nhu Quynh tried her best, but not enough to fill the gap from the main stars.

At the end of the group stage, Vietnam team all lost all 3 matches, only won 1 set. The defeat against Poland with a score of 1-3 is considered a rare opportunity to make a surprise, but finally stopped at the level of regret. The defeats quickly before Germany and Kenya have ended all hope of the Vietnamese team.

Meanwhile, Thai volleyball continues to impress when winning tickets to the 1/8 round with the second place in Group A (winning 2, losing 1).

Japan and China also demonstrate the level with convincing victories, thereby maintaining the position of Asia in the peak arena. Therefore, the fact that Vietnam is eliminated to become the only “bass” of the region.

Although the results are not as expected, the journey at this tournament still has great significance for Vietnamese women's volleyball. The team had a valuable opportunity to rub with the world's leading competitors, and reveal the limitations to overcome, from defense, glossy to psychological stability.

This will be an important lesson for the younger generation, to aim for further goals in the continent as well as re -establishing the feats in the future of the World Championship in the future.
