The Thai tennis star Natthasith Kunsuwan has just received a shock when ITIA (international tennis agency) banned for 12 years. This is the consequence of the violation of a series of regulations that ITIA does not allow to overcome.
According to The Sun, Kunsuwan had 39 different violations. The most significant is the crime of accepting bribes and deliberately falsify the results of the match. As a result, Kunsuwan was forced to pay a fine of 55,000 pounds, of which 41,000 pounds were suspended.
Along with that, Kunsuwan was banned from playing and was not allowed to participate in the Tennis events of Do Itia held until April 8, 2036. The penalty lasted for more than a decade means that Kunsuwan's career seemed to end soon.
At the age of 25, Kunsuwan once reached the highest rank of 1,316 in the world. Before being convicted by Itia, Kunsuwan had impressive victories against some notable faces at the Challenger Tour level, the ITF World Tennis Tour such as Pruchya Isaro, Maximus Jones, Kasidit Samrej or Thanapet. Notably, Kunsuwan once defeated Ha Minh Duc in the ITF M15 Singapore qualifier in 2023.
Not only punished Kunsuwan, Itia also punished three other players, Jaigee Floyd Angele, Christian Lindell and Samuel Bensoussan. Specifically, Angele was banned from playing for 5 years and 3 months, after admitting to arrange a match to receive money in 2022. When he was “touched”, Angele refused to cooperate with the investigating agency and also tried to destroy evidence but failed. The 22 -year -old tennis player accepted the ban on the same fine of £ 14,900. The ban will last until December 18, 2029.
For his part, Swedish tennis player Lindell was suspended for 7 years. He was fined 7,450 pounds with the ban on valid until June 9, 2032. Meanwhile, Bensoussan was arranged by 4 banned matches for 1 year 11 months. The fine for bensoussan is 8. 940 pounds and he can re -export on April 22, 2027.
