The long -term future of striker Nicolas Jackson at Stamford Bridge has become uncertain since Chelsea recruited Liam Delap from Ipswich last month.
The two red cards that Jackson had to receive in the last 4 matches also raised doubts that coach Enzo Maresca could consider him a redundant in the plan.
According to some sources, there is a huge possibility of the Senegal striker will be sold by Chelsea this summer. On his personal YouTube channel, the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed: “Pay attention to the situation of Nico Jackson at Chelsea. I heard that it is likely that between Jackson and Chelsea will break up this summer.”
Jackson, 24, is said to have reached the sights of many clubs in Saudi Arabia and throughout Europe. Romano also said that the Serie A giant AC Milan is looking forward to the signature of the former Villarreal star.
In the 2024/25 season, Jackson is less formed than the debut season with Chelsea. He scored 13 goals and had 6 assists after 37 appearances in all competitions, including 1 goal at the Conference League final.
In the first season of Chelsea, Jackson has a better achievement with 17 goals and 6 assists after 44 matches. Recent mentality (shown through red cards) and unstable in the definitive stage may be the reason why Chelsea decided to break up this summer.
However, according to a source from Football Insider, coach Maresca still wants to keep Jackson for use with rookie Delap next season. Jackson and his teammates will return to play on July 14 in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final against PSG at MetLife, New Jersey.
Currently, Jackson still has a contract with Chelsea until 2033.
