Former England coach, Gareth Southgate is one of the brightest candidates to replace Ruben Amorim, if he was fired by MU.
Coach Ruben Amorim is facing the risk of being fired after the beginning of the bad season with MU. The Red Devils only won 1 point after 2 matches in the Premier League, they were even shocked by Grimsby from League Two in the second round of the British League Cup.
The Portuguese coach took over MU in November last year, replacing Erik Ten Hag. However, he did not show his talent. MU only ranked 15th in the Premier League last season, and now ranked 16th this season with only 1 point after 2 matches.
Gareth Southgate is one of the most appreciated people to lead MU if Amorim is fired. The 54 -year -old coach has been unemployed since he resigned as the England head coach after the defeat in the Euro 2024 final against Spain.

According to Talkshor, the former MU star, Michael Carrick is also a heavy candidate to replace Amorim. The former Tottenham midfielder, West Ham and England were a highly appreciated young coach at Middlesbrough, before the team's performance in the last season and he was fired in June.
Carrick is also unbeaten in 3 matches as a temporary coach MU in 2021, with a record of two wins and one draw, including a memorable 3-2 victory over Arsenal.
Coach Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner was also contacted with a hot seat at Old Trafford. Mauricio Pochettino, currently the US coach and Kieran McKenna of Ipswich are the next two candidates highly appreciated for the ability to replace Amorim.
Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, Fulham coach, Marco Silva, Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth and former Barca coach, Xavi Hernandez is also said to be able to lead MU if they decide to fire Amorim.
