Midfielder Thomas Partey will return to Spain to play football after breaking up with Arsenal this summer in a free form. Notably, Partey is still being investigated by the British police to accuse rape.
The Spanish media reported that Partey agreed to join Villarreal on a 1 -year contract. The Ghana player is expected to launch the La Liga team this week. Here, he will re -operate his former Nicolas Pepe.

On July 4, the London Police Department confirmed that Partey was charged with 5 rape allegations and 1 allegations of sexual assault from 2021 to 2022. Partey's lawyer said: “My client denies all the allegations aimed at me. He has comprehensively cooperated with the Police and the United Kingdom Prosecutor (CPS) during 3 years of investigation. Currently, he wants to have the opportunity to officially clarify everything. Because the legal procedures are happening, my client cannot make any more comments at this time.”
Thomas Partey will go to court in the Westminster Magistrates Court (London, UK) on Tuesday (July 5, local time).
