Tien Dong – Ngoc Nu of the Spanish swimming village shows off her love moment

Returning to the Sant Cugat Senior Sports Training Center after the miracle at the World Championship in Singapore, the duo of Spanish art stars – Dennis González and Iris Tió – is still “in the clouds” with unsatisfactory happiness.

With a total of 11 medals (6 for Tió and 5 for González), they are not only winners but also a new symbol of a Spanish team that is reaching out to become the model for the world.

Matching both at home and abroad, Iris and Dennis were chosen to swim together in the mixed content of the mixed coach Andrea Fuentes. Their combination immediately creates a strong effect. A blend of emotions, techniques and art makes the judges and the audience goosebumps.

“We are all sensitive people and like to express it through music, through performing. Our strength lies in the ability to perform and connect emotions with viewers,” Tió shared. A clear evidence is the performance with the song “Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You” by Led Zeppelin, where she received the absolute point for the artistic performance.

Dennis, 21, is the first male athlete in history standing on the team medal podium at the world tournament. He shared that when he was young, he once admired Iris, and now can accompany her on the top of glory. Both started from Kallipolis club in Barcelona and are currently bringing great pride to the country.

One of the factors that leads to the great success of the Spanish team, winning 9/11 medals, is the team spirit and the positive atmosphere built by coach Andrea Fuentes. The spirit of “unanimous – different – creative” has caused many countries to start learning and even copy movements from Spain. “We used to be inspired by China or Russia, but now they are learning from us,” Dennis proudly said.

However, the two also expressed their regret when the mixed content of the mixed freedom is not included in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

For them, the goal is not only a medal, but also leaving a personal impression, inspiring and shaping a separate style in the world of world art swimming. “We want to remember not only for the achievement, but because of the emotions we bring,” Tió concluded emotionally.
