Striker Victor Osimhen reached his personal agreement to return to Galatasaray to play from the 2025/26 season. This is information that makes MU and Al Hilal fans “stunned” by the decision of the Nigerian star.
Osimhen had just gone through the brilliant season with Galatasaray when scoring up to 37 goals after 41 matches, helping the Turkish team to win a domestic double. With that performance, the Nigerian striker should have been the goal of a series of European giants, especially in the context of the market lacking in class strikers.
But then, Osimhen made a strange decision. Specifically, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen agreed to sign a three -year contract with the Turkish club, with an additional 12 -month extension option. Currently, Galatasaray conducts a transfer fee with Napoli.
According to Sky Sports, Napoli rejected the initial offer worth 60 million euros from Galatasaray. The Serie A team is requesting a higher fee, closer to the provision of 75 million euros in Osimhen's contract.
Earlier, Osimhen also received attention from MU and Al Hilal. In particular, Al Hilal made a proposal of 75 million euros for Napoli, with a salary of up to 40 million euros per year for Osimhen. However, this striker refused.
After losing the championship in the hands of Al Ittihad in the 2024/25 season, Al Hilal was determined to regain its position. The club appointed coach Simone Inzaghi to the captain's seat with a salary of 25 million euros/season, the record of the tournament.
The Italian strategist was free to shop to help Al Hilal compete the title next season. At the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, Al Hilal played very well and reached the quarterfinals.
