American tennis player Tommy Paul has returned to play after injury, accompanied by special good news: He proposed to his girlfriend Paige Lorenze during his time to sit outside.
After having physical problems at Roland Garros, Paul suddenly got a foot injury in the shocking defeat in the second round of Wimbledon against Sebastian ofner. The tendon damage caused the world's No. 16 player to wear protective shoes for two weeks and take more than a month.
However, Paul has turned this time into an opportunity to carry out a romantic proposal with Lorenze – a companion of him in many tournaments since 2022.
Sharing at Cincinnati Masters 1000, the tournament marked the return, Paul revealed the original plan to propose on the Nantucket beach. “I want to do it at sea, but the weather is rainy all the time so I rented a small cottage to do. Only the two of us, and I found that moment was wonderful,” he said. Paul said that it had been cherished for a long time, but the time of injury created a “reluctant holiday” suitable for implementation.
