Thailand closed gender tests at SEA Games 33, Bich Tuyen and Dang Thi Hong difficult?


The host of SEA Games 33, Thailand, has just announced that it will deploy gender tests for female athletes, depending on the requirements of each subject and the regulation of the corresponding international federation. The General Department of Sports of Thailand (SAT) affirmed that it would monitor the entire process, and the athletes were not allowed to refuse the inspection request.

Some sensitive subjects such as women's volleyball, boxing, as well as antagonistic subjects, are in the highly likely group to perform inspections, especially for suspected athletes or have unusual power.

It is reported that Thailand is considering the method of testing via hormones or gene Sry tests (related to gender), the form of expected form is expected to be widely applied from September as prescribed by the World Athletics.
