Galatasaray targets Akanji and Ederson of Man City
According to ESPN, Galatasaray contacted Man City directly to discuss the ability to recruit Manuel Akanji. The City has not closed the door of the 30 -year -old center -back, but they only agree if they receive the price right with the pricing.
Akanji joined Man City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022 and quickly became an important card in the diagram of Pep Guardiola. His contract is still 2 years. The strong point of the Swiss player is the ability to play flexibly, can kick the center -back and right -back. He himself had started in the right defender in the Champions League 2023 final that City was crowned.

Coach Okan Buruk considered Akanji as an ideal player, when Galatasaray urgently needed a versatile defender and a goalkeeper before the deadline to transfer Super Lig on September 12. The Turkish team wants to close the contract earlier to promptly register the Champions League list on September 2.
Not only at Akanji, Galatasaray also turned to Ederson. The Brazilian goalkeeper is the god of Man City, but the club will consider him to leave if Ederson himself expressed his desire. Over the weekend, Ederson was absent in the Wolves 4-0 victory because of being sick. James Trafford, the rookie returned from Burnley, was given the chance of catching.
In the absence of Ederson from Etihad, Galatasaray has prepared a backup plan. They have an eye on Diogo Costa (Porto) and Yann Sommer (Inter Milan).
If the worst scenario occurred and City lost Ederson, the Premier League champion could turn to Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian goalkeeper is being pushed out by Paris Saint-Germain after losing the number one position in Lucas Chevalier.
Galatasaray is showing great ambition in both domestic and Champions League. The Akanji and Ederson deals, if successful, promises to create a big explosion in the transfer market this summer.
